New Tiers (2024/2025)
A New Era of Residency
The Malaysian government has introduced a refined three-tier system for the MM2H program, offering greater flexibility and long-term security for international residents.
Core Eligibility
The fundamental criteria applicable across all MM2H tiers.
Age Requirement
Open to all foreigners aged 25 and above.
Fixed Deposit
Placement of a fixed deposit in a local Malaysian bank as per tier requirements.
Property Purchase
Mandatory property purchase in Malaysia with minimum value based on selected tier.
Medical & Insurance
Valid medical report and health insurance applicable in Malaysia.
Note: Property purchase is mandatory for all tiers. The property must be held for at least 10 years, but can be upgraded to a higher value property during this period.
